Purdie Worldwide traces its roots back to 1960 when Matt Purdie founded Matt Purdie & Sons as a coal merchant, supplying local towns with fuel. Always willing to help, Matt began transporting furniture on his coal lorry, eventually purchasing his first removal truck in the early 1960s. The business expanded through two generations, earning recognition as BAR Mover of the Year in 2010.
By 2015, the company had grown into a leading global logistics specialist, making regular trips across the continent and beyond. To reflect its international reach, it rebranded as Purdie Worldwide following a family buyout. Despite its expansion, the company remains deeply committed to the local community, supporting Gala Days, local sports teams, and even the Purdie Worldwide Stadium. No matter how much it grows, Purdie Worldwide stays true to its roots, giving back to the community that helped shape its success.

Can I get a rough cost for my move?
In order to get a cost for your home move, we need to understand exactly what is being moved and the distance between the addresses. To get these details we recommend having a video survey or 1 to 1 home survey with one of our surveyors. It’s totally free and can be booked here.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers. At checkout, you will have the option to choose your preferred payment method. We do not accept American Express or Cheques.
Can I buy my boxes online and collect in-store?
Yes, you can buy your boxes online and have them delivered to your door, or select the click and collect option at the checkout and go to this link to book a collection appointment that suits you!
What Storage options do you offer?
At Purdie Worldwide we have many storage options. If you’re needing something stored long term, without regular access, we recommend our containerised storage solution. If you do need regular access to your goods, then we would suggest one of our self-store units. We also offer an archive storage service to collect and store any historic paperwork that needs to be kept for GDPR.
Do you store cars and caravans?
Yes, we can store cars and caravans both inside our warehouses (£20/week) or outside our warehouse in Bathgate in a secure yard for as little as £10 per week, per caravan.
What’s your cheapest storage?
Our cheapest storage option would be our 16ft² self-store unit coming in at £8.40 including VAT per week. Unfortunately we have a limited number of this size, and the 25ft² is the next best option for £10.80 per week including VAT.
