Overcoming Adversity
A talented sportsman, Nathan was a regular Rugby player for Glasgow Warriors at under 21 level, before a serious motorbike accident left him paralysed at just 18 years old.
Even before his injury, Nathan was a part of Scotland’s archery team. However, after a shoulder injury curtailed his power-lifting and basketball career, his focus switched solely to Archery. Making his international debut just months before Rio 2016, and placing a very respectable 9th.
Following on from this success Nathan has won multiple medals at both European and International levels. 2023 saw Nathan rise up the rankings to world number 1, winning silver at the World Para Championships, and becoming double European Para Champion. This year he’s aiming for Paralympic Gold in Paris.

Our Pledge…
As part of this strategic sponsorship deal, we’ve not only pledged funding for a website, but also a safe space for Nathan to hone his archery skills. As such, our state of the art storage facility in Bathgate will double as a training ground for Nathan. Splitting his time between Team GB’s training facility at Lilleshall and the MAHPC (Macqueen Archery High Performance Centre), will give Nathan the best chance to win Gold at the Paralympic games later this year.
